It’s almost the weekend! Yay! Today so far, hasn’t gone according to plan. The past few days I’ve had a pretty bad headache, but hate taking medication. I figured if I got a great night of sleep I would wake up feeling fantastic. I woke up at 10:30pm and my head was still pounding. I woke up at 12:30am and my head was still pounding. When I woke up at 5:00am and it was still throbbing, Keith and I decided to skip the morning workout so I could try and sleep a little bit more. An hour and a half later I woke up with my head still pounding. Coffee wasn’t sounding good to me, so I drank a 1/2 glass of Coke. We never have pop in our home, but we were told to bring pop to a doggie birthday party a while back and since no one drank any, it has been sitting in our outside fridge for months. To my surprise, it kind of did the trick. My headache is so less sever right now and I think it is due to the little bit of caffeine that I drank. I am hoping the headache is kicked to the curb as I have a lot to get done today.
For breakfast this morning, Keith and I whipped up one of our old favorites we haven’t had in probably a good year. English muffin breakfast sandwiches. We used light high fiber English muffins, uncured not nitrates or nitrites ham, organic American cheese slices and brown eggs. It tasted fabulous. In fact it tasted so good, I didn’t even think to take a picture of it until my plate was clean! I have a feeling we will be eating one tomorrow as I’m already excited to eat another one. : )
Yesterdays Eats looked like this:
- Breakfast- Small Banana Walnut muffin pre-workout, Peach Chobani post-workout, 1/2 Robeks Smoothie
- AM Snack- 1/2 Robeks Smoothie
- Lunch- Low Cal, High Fiber Bean, Rice and Cheese Burrito with Hot Sauce
- AM Snack- Organic Red Delicious Apple
- Dinner- Flank Steak Taco with Cheese and Hot Sauce
I went grocery shopping yesterday to stock up on fruit and vegetables and can’t wait to make some good eats over the weekend. My diet has seriously been lacking vegetables.
On the Agenda for today:
- Work / Train Clients
- Paystubs for our Trainers
- Vacuum the House (Quincy’s hair is everywhere, I never knew a puppy could shed so much)
- Grill Burgers, I got some lean local Grass Fed Beef yesterday and have been Craving a Burger!
- Walk the Pup
- Possibly, if I have time, squeeze in a quick 45 minute workout to make up for skipping it this morning
The above it why I really need my headache to stay away!
