Hey guys! Happy happy Monday to all of you!
Did you all have a great weekend? I sure did! It felt long and was just what I needed to catch up on sleep and recharge!
I spent a majority of the weekend trying to figure out how to change my blog over to self hosting.,.let me tell you I’m only about 2% done and it feels like no matter what I do I keep running into problems. I’m looking into hiring a web designer from my area to come over and help/teach me a few thing…
On Friday, Keith, Cameryn and I went out for happy hour where I enjoyed a generous pour of white wine! Yum! Keith and I shared an order of calamari and ordered a pizza topped with caramelized onion, black olives, mushrooms and Canadian bacon to bring home and eat for dinner. Let me just tell you, if you haven’t tried that pizza combination before, please do, it is my current favorite. I also love just plain cheese and loaded veggie as well! Cameryn turned 4 months old on Friday! She is getting so big and changing daily, it is so much fun to be her mom!

On Saturday, we got up early and headed out to walk the dog. I’m not sure if you guys have heard, but there is a large wildfire going on in Northern Arizona, not too far from where we live (on the other side of a mountain), so when we woke up and saw that the area wasn’t smoky we took advantage and went walking. When it is smoky out we don’t like bringing the baby anywhere, let alone breathe that nasty air ourselves. Quincy on the other hand would breath just about anything to get his daily walks…
The rest of the day was spent at a baptism class at church and then we headed home so Keith could bet on a few of the basketball games and I could work on the blog.
Sunday was started the same way as Saturday with a big dog walk. Afterwards we headed out to meet up with friends for an early lunch. Keith and I both got the club salad with a balsamic dressing. So delicious! The rest of the day was spent watching a Lifetime movie while the baby napped besides me and then just getting odds and ends done around the house. We made spicy chicken sausage pasta (loosely based off this recipe) for dinner with so much spinach! It was so good and filling after having a salad for lunch!
Last week I got in four workouts. I did three at home and one in the gym. I would have like to of got in one more, but no biggie!
- 45 minutes of cardio + core
- 45 minutes of cardio + core
- 20 minutes of intervals + back, biceps and shoulders
- Plyometric workout (I did 10 minutes of cardio instead of 5 for each circuit)
I’m right on track to make my after baby body goals just in time for our trip to Minnesota in June. I wanted to have my body back and be five pounds lighter than I was before I got pregnant and right now I ‘m about 2lbs away from my goal. My stomach isn’t as toned as it was before but I think if I can lose a few more pounds of fat, I’ll be able to see my muscles poking through!
Here is what my workout schedule looks like for this week:
Monday: 45 minutes cardio + core- done
- Tuesday: 45 minutes cardio + core
- Wednesday: Plyometric workout
- Thursday: 20 minutes intervals + legs, chest and triceps
- Friday: 20 minutes intervals + Jillian Michaels yoga DVD
- Saturday: 20 minutes intervals + back, biceps and shoulders
- Sunday: Rest day
I need to stick with my plan so I can make my goal by early June! Originally I wanted to give myself 5 months so June 18th would be exactly 5 months, but since we’ll be heading to Minnesota in early June I’ve decided to bump up my goal date!
Trainers Tip: Scheduling your workouts ahead of time and into your daily activities will make you lese likely to skip them. Try it out this week and I bet you’ll see an improvement in how often you workout!
I know I’m going to follow my own advice this week as I’ve planned my workouts above and really need to stick with them!

That’s it for today! It is another busy day in the Conrad house! I have a lot to get done and many errands to run, including endless amounts of laundry…I have about 5 loads sitting and waiting to be folded and put away that I keep ignoring…it looks like we’ll be wearing wrinkly clothing all week!
I’ll see you guys later with a new banana smoothie recipe that my husband said is his favorite smoothie I’ve ever made him and his favorite smoothie he’s had in his entire life! If you like bananas, you’ll love this!
Enjoy your day and remember to start your week off right by getting in at least 20 minutes of good quality exercise! You’ll feel amazing and your body will thank you!
