I have about 3 posts I need to catch up on for this week!
I’ve been blog slacking lately. I have every intention to get a post up first thing in the morning and then something gets in the way and I just don’t get it done.
I am happy to report that I’ve been working out like crazy and also eating super healthy (except for yesterday, my food was just random).
My goal of losing 5lbs by August 28th is going good. I’m down 2lbs in less than two weeks, so I’m very happy with that.
Last week I got in all five of my planned workouts! Yay! First time in a while!
This week has been great so far too. I’ve got three of five workouts done and plan on getting in one today (cardio + plyos) and my last one tomorrow (intervals + strength).

My eats this week have been really good. I’ve been doing egg sandwiches for breakfast on either an Ezekiel English muffin or Ezekiel wrap, morning snack has been a whey protein shake (mixed with water) or a Clif Mojo bar if I’ve had it, lunch has been a smoothie with spinach (either berry banana or PB2), my afternoon snack has been chia seeds and cinnamon mixed with water (and drank) and a few pita chips, and dinner has been salads or Mexican salad bowls.
Here is what my day looked yesterday. My eats were a bit off since we met up with friends at a tapas bar for happy hour:
- Breakfast- Ezekiel wrap with egg, spinach, cheese and salsa
- AM Snack (post workout): Whey protein shake and a Clif Mojo bar
- Lunch: PB2 spinach smoothie bowl
- PM Snack- Chia seeds and cinnamon (mixed with water and chugged) + a few Amy’s pita chips
- Dinner: 1 chicken skewer, a few mushrooms with garlic, a thin slice of bread, half the insides of a small shredded pork taco. Then one home I had a scoop of peanut butter and another Clif Mojo bar. <—We had nothing in our house to eat and I could have skipped eating anything else but knew I should get in a few more calories since I’m still breastfeeding and need to keep my supply high.
So yesterday was probably my worst eating day all week, but o-well. I’m still on track with my weight loss to hit my goal of losing 5lbs by the end of August!
I’m trying to think of a few healthy recipes to make this weekend so we have good options on hand and don’t splurge on good eats! I rather keep my eating on track and have a glass of wine! YUM!
This past Monday I really jumped on the Pintrest bandwagon. I signed up a while ago but never really got into it until this week. I literally just wanted to pin all day long! I even pinned during my workout! It was great motivation to be pinning fitness motivation while I was sweating my @ss off while on the elliptical!
