Husband’s Birthday Bonanza

21 Oct

Today has been a very busy day.  This morning I ran the rest of my errands to get everything we needed for the Husband’s birthday!  Once I got home, it was lunch time.  The Husband, my Mom and I all headed to a restaurant called Murphy’s.  I ordered a chicken wrap and also a small cup of asparagus soup, which was amazing!  I can’t wait to try and make it at home!  : )  I forgot my camera at home so I didn’t get any pics.

The lantern was only for hiding gifts, not a gift itself!

After lunch we headed home and the Husband and I had to run into work for a little bit.  After my training sessions were over, the Husband and I headed back home.  When we got home my Mom was busy in the kitchen cooking the Husband’s requested birthday meal:  Ham and Cheesy Scallop Potatoes.  Since I don’t cook ham and scallop potatoes, my Mom had to step in to save the day (Thanks Mom!)!  : )

While dinner was cooking, the H opened up some of his gifts and cards.

Notice the picture of the H my Mom stuck in the card?  It was hilarious!

We also played more Yahtzee!  The Birthday Boy won every game!  Surprise, Surprise!  After Yahtzee the Husband finished opening the rest of his goodies and had a glass of birthday wine!

More lottery tickets!

Vinturi Aerator!  The gift that keeps on giving!  : )

Dinner was ham and potatoes.  I was so caught up in Birthday mode I didn’t think to take pictures until after the meal was over.  I decided to spare you on my plate of leftover food.

Here’s the only pic of the ham I got

Then it was time for cake!  Marble with non- dairy whipped frosting

Happy Birthday to You!  Happy Birthday to You!

After a sugar rush and a sudden crash, we are all tired and ready to get to bed early!  I hope you all had a fabulous day!  I can’t wait to share some fun posts with you tomorrow!  I also hope to update my other pages this weekend when I will have free time!  Yay!

What are your favorite Birthday traditions?  Do you typically have a birthday cake made for you or do you bake it yourself?  Is there a special birthday meal you like to have on your day?

Happy Birthday Baby!  I Love You!  xoxo

Birthday tradition is always dinner + cake with family! It’s different every year, but this year my Mom made me a homemade pumpkin cake and it was DELISH! 🙂

you’ll have to tell us how that wine aerator turns out, i’ve been curious about those suckers!

we don’t really have any birthday traditions, although i DID make my husband a cake one year. that was a huge accomplishment for me 🙂

haha! I tried making a cake last year and it turned out to be a disaster! I think I am too impatient! The aerator works really well. We’ve had the white wine aerator for a while and can really tell a difference. The H tried the red wine one last night and could tell a difference. I wasn’t drinking, but did try a sip of his and I could tell a major difference too. It makes the wine smoother and takes that edge off the end of each sip! : )
