Firehouse Kitchen for Dinner

23 Oct

Hey guys!  Here is my lunch and dinner from yesterday along with my mini workout from yesterday afternoon.

Lunch yesterday was a deli thin with turkey, avocado, tomato, mustard and grilled red onions.  I made it into a Panini because all sandwiches taste better grilled!  : )

It was delicious!

After lunch, I did a mini workout for 30 minutes at home.  I did the elliptical for 15 minutes and then did abs for 15 minutes.  I totally crushed my abs!!!  When I woke up this morning I could hardly twist my torso- so sore!  If anyone is interested in my abs workout let me know and I can post it.

For dinner we met up with our friends Adam and Noel and headed over to Firehouse Kitchen for dinner.  After looking at the menu for a good 10 minutes, I decided on the House Salad and Cup of Soup.  I ordered balsamic vinaigrette on the side and the soup was a Chicken Dumpling.  I have never had a dumpling before and was curious to see what they look like.  Unfortunately, my soup didn’t even come with one dumpling.  I also had a very small popover with just a smear of butter, and 2 glasses of cab.  I forgot my camera at home, so I have no pictures.  The house salad was a mix of romaine lettuce, cucumber slices, tomato chunks, croutons (which I didn’t eat) and dried cranberries (which I mostly stayed away from).

I woke up this morning feeling pretty bloated from the soup (I am highly sensitive to salt).  I drank about 2 liters of water after the soup to help my body flush out the sodium, but overall it didn’t help much.  The first thing I did this AM was make a large hot glass of lemon water!  I am already feeling less “puffy”.  Breakfast will be a cup of black coffee and probably toast with peanut butter.  Oh, and by the way, I woke up at 2am ready for the day to start, I couldn’t fall back asleep for the life of me and neither could the Husband.  We blame it on the extra large cup of coffee we had yesterday late morning…
