New Workout of the Week Wednesday

19 Jan

Good morning blog world!  The husband and I totally hit the snooze button far to long this morning and didn’t wake up until 2 hours after the alarm went off.  We didn’t make it to the gym, but I decided that to make up for it, I will do the elliptical at home tonight followed by some much needed hot yoga!

As for other news, it New Workout of the Week Wednesday.  I have posted a super circuit on here a few weeks ago and I have another one for you today.  I love super circuits because the time in the gym goes so quickly.  You should perform the circuit twice and three times if you have enough time.  Not only will you be building muscle, but you will be torching calories by keeping your heart rate up the entire workout.  As always, before you start/try a new workout and or exercise program please consult with your doctor to get approval.

Super Circuit II

Warm Up (5 minutes):

1. Skaters (legs- outer, hips, glutes)

2. Push Ups (pecs, shoulders, triceps)

3. Mountain Climbers (shoulders, triceps, cores, hips, quads)

30 Seconds Jumping Jacks

4. Squats with 15 lb Medicine Ball (quads, glutes)

5. Plie Squats with Medicine Ball Overhead (glutes, legs- inner, shoulders, triceps)

6. Elliptical- L 60 (cardio)

30 Seconds Jumping Jacks

7. One Arm Rows (upper back, shoulders, biceps)

8. Lunges with Lateral Raise (quads, glutes, hamstrings, lateral shoulder)

9. Dips (triceps, shoulders)

30 Seconds Jumping Jacks

10. Plank on Bench (core)

11. Straight Arm Plank on Bench (shoulders, triceps, core)

12. Deadlifts (hamstrings, glutes, lower back)

30 Seconds Jumping Jacks

13. Lateral Band Walk with Bicep Curls (in semi squatting position) (legs- outer, glutes- outer, biceps)

14. Seated Bicep Curls (biceps)

15. Ab Bench Oblique Twists

30 Seconds Jumping Jacks

Let me know if you try this workout and what you think of it!

Okay, I got to go ice my head.  Yes, I need to ice my head.  Last night the little monster (aka Quincy) bit my face super hard which caused me to whip my head back right into our coffee table.  Ouch.  I now have a massive bump on the back of my head.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Question:  Has you pet ever caused you to get hurt?

Thats a wicked workout! My puppers bites my toes all the time. I think she thinks its a game, but whenever I walk she tries to bite, and most of the time she succeeds!!

Oh my god, yes! My cat got spooked by a dog and literally ate my face. I had fang marks all over my cheeks near my eyes and had to go to the emergency room for a tetanus shot. I looked like I flew through a car window!

oh no! I hope your head feels better! Mav jumps on me all the time…and, since he’s a huge block of muscle…normally knocks me over. He unintentionally scratches too, but he makes up for it with lots and lots of kisses!
