Hey guys!  I haven’t posted my eats for a few days now and figured I should update you all!  Nothing exciting and pretty much the same foods as always.  We REALLY need to go grocery shopping.  Badly!

I’m surprised I haven’t turned green yet from all the spinach we have been eating lately.

  • Lunch-  Chicken Boca on Ezekiel Pita with 1 American Cheese Slice

  • Dinner-  2 Glasses of Vino (thank you very much), a good sized house salad (all vegetables w/ hardly any dressing) and Crab Mac and Cheese (ok, so we were saving our one splurge meal for this weekend but while talking about what we should make for dinner we just happened to be watching Throw Down with Bobby Flay and it was lobster mac and cheese!  We decided to make Wednesday a date night and go to the Fire House Kitchen and get ourselves some of their tasty mac and cheese (damn you Bobby Flay!!! I kid.), plus there wine was on happy hour!  I love a good deal!)  : )

Date night!  Yes, I LOVE absurdly BIG glasses!  : )

Sinfully delicious!  Hey, at least we split it!

Served with melt in your mouth popovers (I may have had one two, it was our one splurge meal after all) and cheesy bread.

Ok, now onto the fun stuff:  Ceremony wedding pictures taken at The Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

How cute is our flower girl?  I’m also her proud aunt and Godmother!  : )

I was overwhelmed with emotion when I first entered the church

Deacon Roger Carlson rocked our wedding!

Did I mention I was so bloated from the Grooms Dinner that the husband couldn’t get my wedding band to go on my finger…talk about embarrassing!  At least I was able to get his on just fine!

Time to kiss the bride…note to self, never hold papers on the side pictures are being taken!

Feeling SO relieved!

Just look at those ecstatic faces!  Beaming!

I LOVE this photo!  I think it is such a tender moment!

Our beautiful family and friends who made our day extremely special for us!

I was going to post the reception pics, but wanted to post the ceremony pictures first.  All pictures were taken by Bryan at Studio Blue Photography in MN (

Question:  Do you allow yourself a cheat meal each week?  What is your favorite sinfully good meal?

Spring Fashion

30 Mar

I love when the weather starts to change and shorts, skirts, dresses and short sleeve shirts come out of the depths of my closet.  Warm weather is right around the corner and it is time for me to update my wardrobe.  As many of my readers and friends know, I am all about simple basics and then changing the look with accessories, accessories and more accessories.  I love dressing down an outfit through shoes, purses, jewelry or glamming it up the same way.

Below, you will find my top picks for spring!

Easter Dress

I found this dress at Express.  I’m not a huge fan of pastels, but in spring I can just eat them up!  I think this dress is so feminine and soft looking.  Perfect for spending Easter with the family.  I would pair this dress with nude heels, and a metallic clutch to give this look a little bit of edge.

Cocktail Party

OMG, I am SOOOO in love with this dress I found at  I think it is just perfect.  It is sweet, elegant and those ruffles are out of this world fun!  Since I am a gold ADDICT, I would wear strappy gold heals, gold chandelier earrings and then pair this with either a white, gold or a bold turquoise clutch.  So AMAZING!  The price is a little steep but pretty typically for BCBG at $398.

Casual Day Dress

I also found this dress at  I can picture myself wearing this to meet up with friends for cocktails outside on a restaurant patio and for just running errands in style!  🙂  I love how it is so plain on the top and then belted to cinch the waist.  Plus the bottom is fun and flirty!  I just love this look!  Since it is spring I would pair it with either strappy flats or strappy sandals with a heel.  I would also skip all jewelry in favor of some big sunglasses and my normal everyday huge purse!  This dress is a reasonable $148.  I think I may have to order one and reward myself for working hard this week!  : )

Ultra Casual Day Dress

Since, I’m clearly on a BCBG kick, I will throw in one more dress from them.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ultra casual dress.  Plus with a price tag of only $48 bucks, there’s no reason not to love it!  To add a little fun to this dress, I would add any color skinny belt to cinch the waist.  Throw on a pair of your favorite chandelier earrings, sunglasses and cute pair of sandals and you are ready to go.  I can totally see myself wearing this look first thing in the morning when I’m trying to look cute to run errands but haven’t showered yet!  It’s classy, springy and SUPER cute!

Cute Top

I found this cute Tory Burch (love) top at  I love the metallic detail it has and would totally wear this with dark skinny jeans, gold bangles and a summer white or gold bag.  I can see myself wearing this while traveling, going to a baseball game, happy hour or just hanging out on the weekend.  I also think in summer it would be super stylish with a pair of cute white shorts!  It is on the spendy side at $228, but it is something you could wear over and over again and change the look.  Heck, you could even wear it into fall, just throw a fitted blazer over it and slip on a pair of boyfriend jeans!  Perfection!

Night Out

I think this top I found at is amazingly sexy and fun for a hot spring night.  I would opt to bring a cardigan to throw over this once the sun sets and a little chill is in the air.  A short fitted jacket/blazer would work as well.  I think this is such a fun outfit when you are in the mood to be seen and cut loose!  I love the white shorts paired with this top to bring a little innocence to the outfit (you could also pair it with black shorts) and also love the gold bracelets the model is wearing.  I would probably wear gold heels or wedges with this and complete the look with a gold purse.  This top is reasonably priced and on sale for $47.60

Anytime Dress

I found this fun and flirty dress by Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s at  I think it is a really fun piece and has a terrific price at $60.  I could see myself wearing this over to a friend’s home for a spring BBQ .  I would wear my hair parted at the center and wavy or with half pulled back loosely.  Since the dress is a little bit busy (with the print and tiers), I would throw on a simple bracelet and wear some earth tone flat sandals.  Such a romantic and sweet look!
