Hey Guys! I’ve been a little MIA lately and that’s because I’ve been on vacation! The Husband, myself and a couple went to Vegas for a quick 4 day get-a-way! We had SO much fun! I’m already planning on going back very soon. The best part of going to Vegas is the short drive it took to get there. It took us about four hours, and actually went by very quickly. : )
Pretty flowers at the Bellagio.
Trying to get a pic with the flowers….all fails….you would think one would have turned out!
When we weren’t walking 10 miles a day sightseeing, we were eating. We ate breakfast in the room (Ezekiel toast with PB and a banana), Lunch out and about and dinner went to top rated restaurants. I’ll give up a run down of them below!
Lion’s at MGM
What a fun job! Just laying around with the lions!
Our favorite casino was at Aria. It was clean and new and had fun blackjack tables!
Sunday night, we decided to go to Lavo. It was in the The Palazzo. OMG, so delicious! Lavo has a nightclub upstairs, and a very lounge type atmosphere. Everyone was dressed to the nines and looking fabulous. I ordered the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass- Fresh Heirloom Tomato, Butter, Crispy Portobello at the waiter’s suggesting. It was a great choice and I highly recommend it if you are planning on making a trip to Lavo the next time you are in Vegas. The Husband ordered the Spaghetti With Kobe Meatballs. I sampled a small bite and it was amazing. The waiter said it was their signature dish.
Monday night we went to the Lakeside Grill in The Wynn. For an appetizer, we shared the Maryland Crab Cakes- Vegetable Dill Tartar. They were very tasty.
For my entree, I ordered the Potato Crusted Salmon with Mushrooms and Leeks. I can’t find it on their menu online, and am guessing from memory the name of the dish. It was by far the best salmon I’ve ever had.
The Husband ordered ribs
Other items included Gnocchi
We sat on the patio and were kept entertained by the waterfall show. It was very odd. There were floating balls, a ever-changing face, a giant frog, flirting flowers. Weird but entertaining.
Tuesday night, our last night in Vegas, we went to Koi in Planet Hollywood. We ordered a bunch of items to share. Including, Edamame, Sautéed Shrimp on California Roll, Baked Crab Roll, Sashimi and Creamy Rock Shrimp Tempura. I love sushi, so this place was probably my favorite restaurant we went to.
We lost the Husband, but soon found him in a bell.
My only Vegas regret is not taking more pics of the Husband and I together! I think we have three and most of them are ruined by the lighting or our eye’s closed! Oh well, there’s always next time!
Question: What is your favorite thing to do in Vegas?
