I can’t believe I got married almost one year ago! This Sunday, August 28th, Keith and I will be celebrating one year of marriage. I don’t know where this past year has gone. I feel like it was just yesterday I was over my head in wedding preparations. I truly believe the older you get, the faster the years go by.
In celebration of our anniversary weekend, I’m getting a maternity massage tomorrow! Yay! Well actually, Keith scheduled to play golf with a buddy and then has a fantasy football draft at another friends house with more buddies. I think he felt bad I didn’t have any plans and suggest I book an appointment. I didn’t have to be told twice and happily obliged. I also plan on making Fleur de Sel Caramels while he is out and about. I’ve been craving salted caramels and decided to give into this pregnancy craving. I might just need to get myself a pedicure as well to occupy my day!
On Sunday, our real first wedding anniversary, we are planning on either spending the day in Sedona (Red Rocks) or going to the little mountain village of Jerome (Artists town over looking Sedona and Flagstaff). They will both be fun, but we haven’t decided which one to go to. Jerome is closer and has shopping and eating and Sedona is just a bit further and has even more shopping, eating and a magical scenery!
Whatever we decide I’m sure we will have a great time! : )
In honor of our first wedding anniversary, here are some pics for you to enjoy!
Here are my Eats from yesterday:
- Breakfast- 1/2 Grapefruit and Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Chia Seeds, Brown Sugar, Almond Milk, Banana and a few Raisins
- Am Snack- 2 Mini Apples
- Lunch- Spinach and Red Bell Pepper Chicken Sausage on a Whole Wheat Bun with Cheddar Cheese, Mustard and Ketchup
- PM Snack- 1/2 Ezekiel Pita (melted Swiss cheese) with Hummus
- Dinner- Monster Salad- Romaine, Red Bell Pepper, Cucumber, Red Onion, Apple, Feta, Tomato and Huckleberry Dressing
This morning, Keith and I decided to sleep in and I plan on getting in 45 minutes of cardio while at work. Laying in bed just a bit longer felt amazing and since we work short days on Friday, fitting in a workout shouldn’t be that hard at all.
Also, last night, I decided to do the 45 minute prenatal yoga DVD I purchased a few weeks back. OMG…it totally kicked my butt. I had showered just before doing it and ended up sweating a lot. My leg muscles were so shaky by the end (I think my muscles were already pretty worn out from my AM strength workout). I think I’ll be sticking with the 15 minute or 30 minute forms when I just need a good stretch and to calm my mind and the 45 minute form is good for when I need a bit more of a workout, perhaps on my rest days. I actually had to stop a couple times and chug some water during the yoga practice! Luckily I was able to have a great meditation at the end and lay quietly for a good 10 minutes to let both my mind and body relax!
I hope you all have a great Friday and a rocking weekend!
