Happy Long Weekend Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I’m so excited for the long weekend!  Well actually, we haven’t decided if we are working on Monday yet or not.  When I asked Keith if he was planning on working Monday he said yes.  But, I plan to persuade him over the weekend to take the day off so we can share a long weekend together!!!  : )

I’m going to keep this post nice and short, so lets get right to workouts and eats.

This morning was super busy.  We were up at 5am and at the gym right away.  I had an amazing strength workout (core, back, pecs and quads) and then came home to scarf down breakfast before heading off to work to train my early am clients.  Before I knew it, it was 11am!  Time sure does fly when you are busy!

This mornings strength workout (I did everything three times with moderate heavy weight):

  • 5 Minute Warm Up on Treadmill
  • Plank, Straight Arm Plank, Side Plank, Mountain Climbers
  • 2 Minutes Running on Treadmill
  • Leg Extension and Lat Pull
  • 2 Minutes Running on Treadmill
  • Back Extension, Cable Row
  • 2 Minutes Running on Treadmill
  • Incline Chest Press and Squats

*I also did another quick ten minutes of cardio on the treadmill while I was at work today of walking, incline walking and running.

My workout from yesterday didn’t happen in the afternoon, but that’s okay and that’s why we went in this morning to make up for it.  I did however do 10 minutes on the elliptical at our house followed by 35 minutes of prenatal yoga yesterday evening.  I was def. feeling like I got a good stretch and could feel my leg muscles working. 

Eats from yesterday are as follows:

  • Breakfast-  Oatmeal with Apple, Cinnamon, Chia Seeds and Almond Milk

  • Am Snack-  Lunabar
  • Late Lunch- Salad and 1/2 Club Sandwich at The Raven
  • PM Snack-  Nothing
  • Dinner-  Salad and about 3 small bites of Steak (Keith accidently overcooked it trying to make sure there was no pink.  Bless his little heart.  He told me it looked like a hamburger…and he was right!

At least there’s always plenty of salad to go around!  : )

Keith and I don’t have anything planned for the weekend other than taking care of odds and ends with the gym and house (lots to do before the baby is born)!

Well that’s it from my end!  Short and sweet!  I’m off to make a grocery list and figure out what to eat for lunch!
