Weekend Treat Picture Review and Goal Review

Hey everyone!  First, I want to apologize for blogging so randomly this week.  We have been keeping our days shorter at work, but trying to tackle projects around the house.  For some reason, we are busier than ever!  I’ll be back to normal posting and commenting by next week!  I just wanted to give you guys a heads up!

Instead of recapping my weekend with a lengthy recap, I’ll just highlight some of the treats I discovered and ate through some pictures!

I can’t remember if I posted this meal or not, it was dinner last Thursday- steak, 1/2 baked potato and of course salad

Friday, I took my glucose testing and I had to drink the dreaded orange drink.  It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and it tasted a lot like McDonald’s orange pop on sugar steroids.  I definitely had the shakes from all that sugar (50 grams) by the time I got to the testing facility.  I wont get my test results back until next week at our next prenatal appointment, but I am guessing I passed.

Saturday morning breakfast-  English muffin sandwich with egg, tomato, natural bacon and cheese.  So good and filling!

During out Costco shop on Sunday, I jumped for joy and let out a loud “Look honey, they finally got their mission dried figs back, lets stock up.”  I pretty sure I’m the only person to get this excited about these little guys and I am so happy they are back in stock.  I secretly want to go back and buy 50 100 bags.  Plus their organic, bonus!

Other fun things from the weekend…

More Baby Cameryn stuff, her changing pad, cover and a pillow case all arrived!  I’ll be doing a nursery post once all her furniture and bedding arrives!

Also, good reads!  If you don’t know, I’m obsessed with all things, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel.

Onto my goals from last week, lets take a look at how I did:

  • Finish replacing light bulbs (3 inside and 1 outside).  Check!  I can cross this one off my list!
  • Workout 5 days this week (3 cardio days and 2 strength days)   Double check!  I finally got in my five weekly workouts!  Whoop whoop!
  • Prenatal yoga 3 times.  Done!  I got in three prenatal yoga practices!  : )
  • Walk dog. I’m not sure if he is allowed to walk after his neutering procedure, but I’ll find out tonight and that will determine how many walk he can get). <—We talked with the vet and no walks for he puppy for at least a week.
  • Cleanout kitchen cabinets and drawers.   Fail.  I didn’t get around to this, although I did wipe off a couple pantry shelves! 
  • Cleanout kitchen refrigerator.  Fail.  I only threw away freezer food we didn’t want anymore.
  • Make up guest bedroom and get it ready for my Dad.  Fail.  I’m planning on rewashing the sheets this upcoming weekend.
  • Carpet clean baby’s room  Check!  We did get this done and her carpet looks amaze!
  • Start rereading Hypnobirthing book and taking notes  Check!  I’m currently in the process of rereading the book!
  • Finish planning Thanksgiving food, find recipes  Check!  All is done when it comes to our Thanksgiving meal.

To be honest, I actually forgot I planned on washing the sheets and getting the guest room ready for my Dad.  I actually planned if for a weekend project on another one of my to-do lists.  Maybe I have too many lists going on at once.  As far as organizing the kitchen goes, I just wasn’t in the mood.  It felt like a big project to take on.

I did however start cleaning all our wooden blinds.  Worst.  House.  Chore.  Ever.  Keith and I also touched up all the paint in our house, only to discover the new paint we got doesn’t match the current paint on our walls.  Not sure how we go about fixing this one, but something needs to happen soon because it is driving me nuts!

As far as goals go for this week, I’m not aiming high.

  • Get in five gym workouts
  • Get in three prenatal yoga practices
  • Walk the dog five times
  • Decorate the house for Christmas
  • Spend quality time with the love of my life, Keith

That’s it!  Since I’m going to be enjoying foods I usually try and stay away from, it is really important to me to keep up my workouts this week!  Remember to keep things balanced!  Smile
