Happy Hump Day!
Things have been crazy busy around here lately! I thought I’d get back to blogging daily and commenting on my favorite blogs starting last week, but that didn’t happen.
In fact, today I slept in until 9am! 9am! I never sleep in that late and can’t believe that is my new wake up time. I need to start getting up earlier as I plan to train just a couple clients a week and want to go back the first week of March. I will be training at 9am, so I need to start getting to bed earlier and waking up earlier so I wont be showing up late!
When I had Cameryn I wasn’t sure how much time I would be taking off work and was just going to go with how I was feeling. Despite being tired almost constantly I feel pretty good so after about 6 weeks off, I’ll be ready to get back to my clients in the gym. I will only be training three during the week and will only have to spend an hour there while Keith stays home and watches the baby until I get back. I debated continuing training, but ultimately I didn’t want to be stuck at home without any adult communication with the baby all day. When we decided to get pregnant, I started whittling down my client list so that when the baby arrived I was training just a few sessions each week so I could spend my time being a stay at home mom with the baby. Since Keith and I work for ourselves I’m able to do a lot of work from home on my computer which is nice if need be.
Speaking of training and working out, I got in two dog walks and two quick 20 minute elliptical sessions along with abs last week. It just felt so good to move and be active and I can’t wait until I get clearance to start working out again. I’m not sure how I’m going to get in my workouts, but know lots of planning will have to happen. It is hard to plan anything right now since the baby is practically attached to me feeding around the clock.
I’m still eating a little bit off form my normal habits as we have had company in town and that always makes it harder but I’m trying to stick with healthy eats for most of the day. I will admit I’m still eating more chocolate then I should be but I’m not going to stress about it.
Here is what my eating looks like right now on an average day (*Note I haven’t lost any more of my baby weight since last week):
- Breakfast- Coffee with creamer, banana/apple and a Clif Monster Bar
- AM Snack- Clif Mojo Bar
- Lunch- Totally random, turkey sandwich, Greek yogurt, something along those lines
- PM Snack- Chocolate, pumpkin seeds, almonds, scoop peanut or almond butter
- Dinner- Salmon, salad, fajitas, pizza
Valentines day dinner, salmon, asparagus and brown rice
Valentines day dessert
So as you can see my eating is pretty off from what I usually eat. I’ve been eating random things and have been snacking a lot more than just eating meals.
Here is what I’d like my eating to look like and what I’m working towards:
- Breakfast- Black coffee, egg sandwich on an Ezekiel English muffin, cheese and tomato and apple
- AM Snack- Green smoothie (banana, almond milk, spinach) with vanilla protein powder
- Lunch- Greek Yogurt with chia seeds, almond butter, and honey
- PM Snack- Flaxseed, cinnamon and cranberry drink
- Dinner- Lean protein, vegetables and a small serving of brown rice or quinoa
We bought a cheap rice cooker at Costco and I’m loving it so far. We made a delicious quinoa recipe two nights ago (I’ll post it in a couple days) and then used it again to make brown rice last night. It makes cooking rice so much easier! I love it and love that it was only 30 bucks!
That’s it for me! I’m off to feed the baby!
