I’m just stopping in to give you some motivation to start your week off right!
Here are the quotes that will be in the back of my mind all week:
“Be the change you want to see.”
“Growth begins at the end of your comfort zone,” from Oxygen Magazine
I’m loving both and will be using them this week as I push myself during my workouts and also to keep my eating clean! Remember your abs are made in the kitchen!
Eats have been really healthy. Over the weekend we made crockpot shredded chicken and Southwest taco seasoning and it was fantastic. It was easy and healthy.
Shredded Southwestern Crockpot Chicken (perfect for tacos or salads)
To make, place chicken in a crockpot (we used 4 breasts), cover with water or chicken broth until half of the chicken breasts are covered. Pour in packet of Southwestern taco season (I used 1 1/2 packets) and cook on high for four hours. Dump liquid and shred chicken. Enjoy!
Does it get any easier than that?
We also made turkey burgers last night in addition to eating the shredded chicken. Smoothies were mostly for lunch and egg sandwiches were for breakfast. My weekend eating actually looked very similar to my weekly eating. I did enjoy a few glasses on vino and also split a dark chocolate brownie from our local organic grocery store with Keith on Saturday. It was divine. I should hit the three pound weight loss mark at the end of this week, if not sooner with my healthy eating over the weekend.
Last week I was able to get in four workouts. I had every intention to workout Friday morning before Cameryn’s six month doctor’s appointment, but with a crabby baby it didn’t happen. I was hoping after her appointment during her nap I could fit it in, but that didn’t happen either. We spent two hours at the doctors (the wait was ridiculously) and afterwards I had other things I had to get done. But I’m happy with my four workouts.
I started today’s new week off on the right note and got in 45 minutes of cardio followed by 15 minutes of core work. I expect to feel my abs tomorrow! Speaking of being sore, my shoulders are so sore form Saturdays workout. I ran intervals and then followed that with working my shoulders, back, biceps and hamstrings. Everything got sore, but my shoulders really got it. I can hardly raise my arms in the air!
Well that’s it for me! I’ll see you guys back here tomorrow!
Incase you missed it, here is a link to the sweaty circuits that are the workout of the week!
