A few weeks ago I was sent a complimentary She Wears it Well eye make up pallet.  OMGEE!  It is AMAZING!  Everyone needs this eye compact immediately!  I have brown eyes and tend to gravitate towards using bronze shades on my eyes and this is the perfect set.  The shades really are great for fall and will make your eyes stand out no matter what color they are!

Over the past two weeks I’ve played around with the shades to create great looks.  The eye shadow is long lasting, which is hard to find, and goes on silky smooth.  The brush that is included is also wonderful.  A lot of the times I just throw brushes that come with make up and use my own, but I’m really impressed with this one!  I spent extra time last night perfecting my eyes for our special anniversary dinner out!  And that is what I love so much about this palette, you can dress your eyes for any occasion.  Casual to glamour!

Just look at all these amazing complimentary colors!  Trophy, Glow, Latte, Foxy, Sunset, Frosting, Onyx, Almond and Toffee!

Included in my kit, I also received make up chart cards that I want to share with all of you.  I loves these because they give you detailed instructions on how to achieve the look you want!

Weekend Review & Closing on the New House

20 Aug

What a busy busy weekend!

On Friday, we spent the morning at Lowe’s (our new favorite place) getting paint and supplies to transform our new house.  While we were there, our broker called us to let us know we could head over to the new place and get our keys, exciting!  Before we headed over, we had to stop at home to get the other member of our family, Quincy, so we could all go to our new home for the first time together!

We spent the whole weekend paining.  We’re painting the walls, ceiling and trim so we have our work cut out for us!  As of right now, Keith only has to finish painting the laundry room, the master and guest bath and Cameryn’s room.  Once the rooms are painted we need to go back and touch up, paint the trim and get the ceilings done.  Then it’s on to the next project, flooring (both new tile and new carpet)!  I have a feeling that this house is going to look like a totally new house once we’re done with it!  Smile

Here is the paint we picked for our whole house, expect for Cameryn’s room.

ColorTime Aspen Gray Valspar

I found this photo online of the color on walls for you to get a better idea.  We we’re going to do one other color in the house, but decided against it after Keith had painted a hallway.

I think they already know me and Cameryn by name in Lowes.  We’ve been there everyday since Friday.  Luckily I got the Lowes credit card so we can save 5% on all of our purchases.  And speaking of saving, Lowes offers a 10% off moving coupon if you sign up for it online.  I’ve been saving ours and hope to use it when we make our caret and appliance purchase.  I believe you can save up to $500 bucks, so it can be a great coupon!

Other than working on the new house this weekend, I hung out with Cameryn and the dog at home.  We tried bringing Quincy over to the new house on Saturday but when I realized I forgot his ball to play with him in the back yard I decided to run home to get it (we live about 1.5 miles away right now).  Well, Quincy must have some separation anxiety because Keith said he freaked out when I left and he jumped over the fence to come after me.  What!?  I knew he could jump, but one of the reasons we got his house was because it had a fenced in yard that would be great for our hyper little guy.  Well now I’m not sure what we’re going to do.  We can’t have Quincy jumping over the fence.  He’s a herding dog and likes to try to herd cars, so he would be in serious trouble if he got out.  On a side note, he also jumped over the fenced in courtyard out front as well.  That Quincy, always making things exciting!

This is what I picked out for Cameryn’s room.  I love the pink stripes.  We aren’t going to do the whole room, just one wall.  Maybe I will change my mind once I see that one wall though!

Outside of the business with the new house, I have been eating healthy!  We actually didn’t even go out once to eat over the weekend.  We had a cocktail and appetizer on Friday at the clubhouse, but other than that my eats were extremely healthy.  Typically over a weekend my meals vary a bit more since I’m not on a schedule and I also tend to indulge more as well.  Here are some pics of the foods I’ve been eating:

Glass of wine at the club house!  I can definitely get used to this view!  I can’t wait until it cools off a bit so we can sit outside!

Baked Stuffed (spinach and ricotta) Chicken with whole wheat noodles.  I’ll get the recipe to you guys tomorrow.  This was great!  I kind of just threw stuff together and it came out fantastic.  It looks really sinful, but there actually isn’t a lot of cheese in this dish and it is rather healthy!  We are eating the leftovers tonight!

My newest obsession, Earth Balance Coconut and Peanut Spread!  OMGee, so good!  We buy Earth Balance butter so when I saw this I just knew it would be good!  It was amazing!  I’m actually surprised I haven’t been spooning it into my mouth every time I’m in the kitchen!  With that being said I think I need to go get a scoop!  Smile

I used the it on my beloved Ezekiel English muffins!  We seriously go through so many of these each week!  Keith has come to the conclusion that he loves them as well!IMG_1126IMG_1128

Egg sandwiches minus the spinach, we ran out.  I need to grab more tomorrow.  We have a few different varieties of kale in our fridge but I like spinach on my egg sandwiches!  This was actually my lunch today.

Here is our weekly menu plan for the week:

  • Monday- Leftover stuffed chicken with pasta
  • Tuesday- Kale salad with grilled chicken breast
  • Wednesday- Salmon with brown rice and sautéed spinach
  • Thursday- Kale salad with baked chicken tenders
  • Friday- Turkey burgers with sweet potato fries

I’m going to be honest with you, I haven’t worked out since Thursday and don’t think I’ll workout today.  I’m planning on waking up early tomorrow and getting my cardio on before I have to head into the gym and train clients.  I miss working out and can tell I haven’t had as much energy as I normally do.  I didn’t set out to skip a few days of working out, but being so busy, I haven’t even thought about them.  I’m hoping to report back to you all next week that I got in my five weekly workouts this week!  Smile

I have until next Tuesday to get to my goal weight and I think I’m on track to make it!  Yay!

Today has been a productive day so far.  I’ve been getting caught up on house work and doing lots of laundry.  I went to Target and Lowe’s this morning and then to the new house.  I tried picking out new carpet, but of course the one carpet Keith and I love is about the most expensive one we could have.  So while waiting to get more paint mixed up, I looked around again and found a few more options that are about $2 bucks less per square foot.  I need to bring Keith back tonight to see what he thinks so we can order it (they said it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks so we need to get that ordered ASAP).  The afternoon has been spent hanging out with the baby and having some good one on one mommy and baby time.  It is so cute because Cameryn thinks I’m the funniest person ever.  All I have to do is look at her at time and she just cracks up!  She also loves when I pretend to eat her toes!  She thinks it is hilarious!  It makes me heart feel warm and full every time I hear her giggle!  Smile

Cameryn working on standing!  She still needs a little help!

The rest of today is going to be spent trying to get organized for this new week and also tackle my desk.  I think I have two weeks of mail piled on it that I better start opening.

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Make it a great week!
