Crawling and Pizza Dinner

13 Aug

Monday, Monday, how good it is to see you again!

Where did the weekend go?  I think I say that every Monday?  This week I’m really excited for Friday and I’ll let you all in on what’s been happening in my life for the past few months that I’ve been keeping quite about!

This weekend was super fun!  It felt long which was nice!  The highlights were making crockpot Mexican shredded beef on Friday, giving Cameryn vegetables for the first time, going over to friends for dinner on Saturday and watching the Hunger Games on Sunday.  It was cute to see Cameryn interacting with our friends two year old daughter.  They played so hard and after no napping Cameryn slept so good Saturday night.  While we were at our friends house, they asked if she can crawl.  I told them she wasn’t crawling yet but could get from point A to point B though with more of an inch worm type move.  About an hour later while hanging out, Cameryn was on the floor and did her inchworm move to get a ball.  Our friends couldn’t believe it and said, she is totally crawling!  I guess it took hearing it from someone else to realize Cameryn had started crawling.  I guess I was thinking for her to be crawling she would have to look like the older babies crawling!  Can you guys believe Cameryn is crawling?

Today I spent the majority of the morning running errands.  I went to Lowes, Costco, Trader Joe’s and then over to Target.  At Costco I had to exchange my VitaMix.  It has been making a shrilling noise every so often while I’m making smoothies.  I saw the VitaMix demo guy there this weekend with a new model 6300 (which is really their professional 500) and wanted to upgrade it.  But after I returned it today, I noticed he wasn’t there anymore so one of the employees told me to buy the 5200 again and then when I see the demo guy back, I can return it again.  I probably wont do that since I hate returning things, but I would have loved if they had the white 5200 in stock.  I had the black but kind of like the look of the white all of a sudden!  The new 5200 package also doesn’t include the nice cookbook anymore but o well.  I guess I only looked at it once since I got it back in February!

My Eats today have been really random.  I’ve been having on of those days where I can’t get full.  I don’t know if it’s because I ate super healthy over the weekend, or if I’m just having one of those hungry days.  I don’t get those very often but every now and again they show up!

  • Breakfast- Coffee (decaf), Ezekiel English muffin with peanut butter and raspberry jelly
  • AM Snack- Clif Mojo bar
  • Lunch- Kale salad with almonds, cherry tomatoes, dried cherries and light champagne vinaigrette + 2 dried bananas (from TJ’s, a new find) + 3 slices of pastrami
  • PM Snack- Popcorn
  • Dinner- Kale salad (with almonds, cherry tomatoes and champagne vinaigrette dressing) + 1 slice of cheese pizza + 1 glass of red wine

See, I told you my eats were really random today.  We planned on having chicken and vegetable kabobs, but ended up getting a pizza instead.  I am stuffed!

A few weekend and today eats pics!

The best coconut water ever!  I’m so addicted, I just wish it wasn’t so expensive!

Lunch from today!

Tonight’s dinner!

And Cameryn’s homemade zucchini!

I think we’ll spend the rest of the evening catching up on reality TV since the baby went to bed early.  I think I’ll be heading to bed early as well.  I want to get up early and get my workout done first thing before getting showered up and to the gym to train clients by 8am!

I hope you all had a great Monday!  See you guys tomorrow!

  • What are your favorite toppings for a kale salad?
  • Do you ever have those days where you’re super hungry?
  • Anyone have any special plans for this new week?

I love all the kale salads! Your lunch looks so good to me! I love mixing fruit into my kale salads! It balances the flavor of it well!

I think adding fruit helps to balance the bitter tasting kale as well. I would normally use cranberries but the cherries looked better and had less ingredients in them. I hate buying dried fruit if it has more then just the fruit listed as it’s ingredients!

My 6 month old does the army crawl too! I don’t consider it crawling yet, but he does get up on all 4’s and move forward 1-2 times. When he’s doing that exclusively I’ll consider that crawling. Either way though, he is so into everything!

It is amazing how quickly they become mobile! Yesterday while working out, Cameryn was all over the place! I kept having to jump off and move her to the center of the room. She was everywhere!
