Happy Birthday Quincy

Happy Tuesday guys!  I hope your week has been off to a good start!  Mine has been going good!  I must admit I’m already excited for the holidays!  I think since this is the first holiday season with Cameryn, it is making me extra excited!

But, speaking of holidays, it is Quincy’s birthday today.  Two years ago Keith and I were vacationing in Mexico and had to pick Quincy out of a liter of pups in one day to make sure they kept his tail.  Since he is an Australian Shepherd, the breed standard is without a tail.  Typically when the puppies are 3 days old, their tails get docked.  I’m not for docking tails and plus I think tails on dogs are cute!  Needless to say Quincy is two years old has the longest tail I’ve ever seen on a dog.

Workout’s have been consistent and I’m actually changing up my routine starting today.  Here is my new split.  This morning in the gym I’m planning on getting 20 minutes of treadmill intervals and legs done.

New Workout Routine- Three day split

  • 20 minutes intervals + legs
  • 45 minutes of cardio at home on the elliptical
  • 20 minutes intervals + back and biceps
  • 45 minutes of cardio at home on the elliptical
  • 20 minutes intervals + shoulders, triceps and pecs
  • 45 minutes of cardio on the treadmill

If I can get six workouts in each week that would be amazing.  I’m not going to hold my breath if I only get in two pure cardio days a week. 

I’m also going to try adding in about three quick 20 minute yoga sessions in the afternoon.  I need to get yoga back in my life and this is a small and easy way to get it in.  I remember when I was pregnant and doing yoga in the afternoon and it made me feel so good and stretched out once it was over.



Here are my eats from yesterday:

  • Breakfast-  Ezekiel English muffin with egg, cheese and tomato + 1/2 pumpkin muffin
  • AM Snack- Clif Mojo bar
  • Lunch- Stuffed avocado with shredded chicken and tomatoes
  • Dinner- Salmon, rice and asparagus

I’ve been eating pretty healthy, but I need to get a bit more focused on planning my meals again to keep me right on track!  We’re somewhat lacking food in our house so I need to make a run to the grocery store!


I think that’s all on my end!  I need to go get ready for my workout then I start training a couple clients right after.  The rest of the day will be spent running errands since my day of running errands couldn’t happen yesterday as we started getting our fireplace prepped to be stoned tomorrow!  Plus a looong walk for the Birthday Boy!  Smile

    Your dog is so pretty and what a great photo! I am going to the parents house for Thanksgiving so I only have to plan the breakfast…which will be pancakes LOL.
