This morning I started my day off at the gym. I got there bright and early and by the time I was mid way through my workout the gym had emptied out, which I love. I ran 20 minutes of intervals on the treadmill (one minute walking and one minute full out running) and then did 40 minutes of weights. I worked back and biceps and lifted heavy.
My workout looked like the following:
- 20 minutes intervals
- One arm row on bench, 25lbs, 8 reps, 4 sets
- Straight bar pull down, 80lbs, 8 reps, 4 sets
- Back extension, 25lbs, 10 reps, 4 sets
- Seated cable row, 100lbs, 8 reps, 4 sets
- Bicep curl, 20lbs, 6 reps, 4 sets
- Hammer curl, 15lbs, 10 reps, 4 sets
- Barbell curls, 35lbs, 10 reps, 4 sets
- Assisted pull ups, 10-10-8-6 reps, 4 sets (I did a drop set of this exercise)
I’m hoping I’m sore tomorrow but not as sore as I was from Tuesday’s leg workout. In fact today is the first day I’m not walking funny and can actually sit down and get up without being in much pain!
After the workout, Cameryn and I headed out to brave the masses of people at both Target and Costco. The rest of the afternoon was spent getting things done around the house and napping! Cameryn still sleeps best when I’m right next to her, but I don’t mind, I use that time to catch up on blogs and other forms of social media!
The rest of the day we will probably just hang out around the house. Maybe go to the clubhouse and grab a wine and appetizer. We are having some neighbor’s over tomorrow just for an afternoon cocktail so I am trying to get as much done to the house as I can before they come over. I’m planning on cleaning tomorrow, which I don’t mind since this house is a lot smaller than our last one. It takes me about half the time!

We ran out of stone just shy of finishing, so the guys will be back next week to finish it up!
We also mounted our TV yesterday and it looks really sleek and clean. We still need to get a new TV stand so we can hide the cords, as cords are one of Cameryn’s favorite thing!
Our last project Keith wants to get done this weekend is to install our range hood. It’s a bit bare right now…plus it will be nice having a light above the range when I’m cooking, especially at night
My eats this weekend have been lots of yummy things. I made vegan pumpkin bread yesterday and it was delicious! I usually use two eggs, but I swapped those for two more chia eggs instead so Cameryn could eat some as well. Both her and Quincy fight for it! They both love it! When I slice a piece they are both at my feet immediately.
Last night for dinner I sautéed a bunch of vegetables (artichoke, broccoli, mushrooms and onion) in garlic and olive oil and added in some chicken breast and parmesan. We ate it over whole wheat noodles and it was so good. We finished it today for lunch and it was ever better today! We will probably stick with a salad for dinner as we had a lot of pasta these past two days. Keeping everything balanced!
Well, I need to get back to my littlest friend as she is climbing all over me! I think I’ll have her help me fold the laundry!
