Workouts and Oh so Sore Abs!

9 Jul

Good morning fellow fitness friends!  Smile

Yesterday was crazy busy and I was thisclose to not getting in my workout.  I don’t know about you, but I love working out first thing in the morning or as close to that as I can.  Yesterday, that just didn’t happen.  It was about 3:30pm when I finally got my booty on the elliptical we have at our house for cardio and core day.  Keith was home and said he would watch the baby.

About 20 minutes into the workout he said he needed to run to one of our gyms and deal with something and that it couldn’t wait.  I thought my workout was over as Cameryn just doesn’t cooperate when I’m on the elliptical.  But for some reason when Keith put her on the bed, she just chilled for 30 minutes!  Yay!

I couldn’t believe it!  I just kept telling her that when I was done we would do yoga!  She is a fan!  After the sweat session, Cameryn and I did a little yoga followed by this ab video I found on YouTube.  If you want a quick 10 minute ab video, I love this one!

Here is the link to the ab video if you want to try it- like I said my abs are sore today!

This morning I’m off to the gym to get in a workout (intervals + back, chest and some plyos) and then training my group of two clients this morning.

I’ll post the workout I do today tomorrow for those of you who are following along and may want to give this workout schedule a try.

Yesterday was a major improvement from this past week and I’m happy to say I already feel way less bloated today.

Here is a quick run down from yesterday:

  • Breakfast- hot lemon water + builder bar
  • AM Snack- 1/4 banana – it was too overripe
  • Lunch- Kombucha at noon and whole wheat pasta with chicken dog, green bell pepper, onion and just a tiny bit of cheese at 2:30
  • Dinner- Chicken apple gorgonzola salad

I also tasted a few mini pumpkin muffins that I baked for Cameryn last night.  They came out so good!  I made a pan of regular and mini muffins and froze some and left some out.

We also had turkey burgers on Sunday night for dinner so I wasn’t starving when I woke up yesterday and just needed something light but with protein.

I know my eating wasn’t super great but it was a huge improvement.  Today will be even better!  Smile

On the agenda for this afternoon is putting Cameryn toddler bed together!  I ordered the conversion kit from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child a few days ago and it came last night. When I ask Cameryn if she wants a big girl bed to sleep in, she shakes her head ‘no’.  I’m hoping this might do the trick to getting her to sleep in her own crib.  Yes, she is still sleeping in our room and still nursing at night.  I need to get her to quit both.  I’m starting to think Keith and I are a pair of pushovers and Cameryn knows how to work us!  Winking smile

Have a great day and I’ll see you guys back here tomorrow with a workout and our Trader Joe’s shop from yesterday!  Time for me to workout!

Question:  If you are a parent are you a total pushover?  If you aren’t a parent do you think you’ll be a pushover?
