Droopy Eyes: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

Older people often complain about droopy eyelids. It gives one a groggy, unpleasant appearance. Droopy eyelids may be more than simply a cosmetic issue in more extreme situations. You can have ptosis if the drooping eyelid is obstructing your vision and making it difficult for you to see properly. Upper eyelid drooping is referred to as ptosis, a medical condition. Droopy eyelids may cause astigmatism as well as other vision-related problems if they are not addressed.

Aging is often the leading factor in drooping eyelids in adults. As you get older, the muscles get weaker and you develop wrinkles because less elastin and collagen are produced. If untreated, it gives away a person’s age and makes them seem older than they really are.

In the past, the only treatment for this widespread issue was surgical removal of a portion of the skin, restoring the eyes’ youthful appearance. Luckily, with new methods and technology, the issue may be greatly reduced by using non-surgical therapies like lasers and skin tightening procedures.

Fotona 4D Laser

If you want an effective upper eyelid lifting treatment, the Fotona laser procedure is the best option. It may also assist with fine wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes. The skin surrounding the eyes is tightened using a non-surgical process that has little to no downtime, allowing you to return to your regular activities as early as the next day following the surgery.

Using a laser device to gently apply heat to promote collagen formation, the procedure tightens the periorbital, and the region surrounding the eyes, lifts the upper eyelids, and reduces fine wrinkles. Patients get a numbing lotion beforehand and should experience just a warm, prickling feeling during the procedure.

The Fotona procedure is more cost-efficient than alternatives like dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle and is suitable for addressing typical signs of aging. It is also very long-lasting and effective.

Rejuran I

Rejuran-i is similar to Rejuran Healer but comes in a thinner form that makes it simpler to inject into the more delicate and delicate regions around the eyes. Additionally, it enables a quicker recovery after injection. After 3 to 4 sessions spaced out monthly, this treatment may assist with the fine lines surrounding the eyes and, in some instances, (results differ) could reduce the look of dark under-eye circles.

Each syringe of Rejuran-i contains 1 ml as opposed to the Rejuran Healer’s 2 ml. It is often advised to use 1 syringe to cure the region surrounding the eyes.

Rejuran-i may be employed the same day as other injections such as Rejuran Healer and treatments like lasers.

HIFU

In order to tighten and lift skin without damaging the skin’s surface, HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) for neck/face skin rejuvenation employs ultrasound waves. This results in a pleasant treatment experience. HIFU-powered transducers are intended to remodel collagen with precise per shot pulses to reduce facial wrinkles and drooping skin.

The HIFU procedure, in contrast to Rejuran-i, is non-surgical, implying that no incisions or injections are made at any point throughout the process. Patients may resume their regular activities immediately after treatment since there’s no downtime and no harm is done to the skin.

Thermage

The upper eyelid’s skin may be treated with Thermage. The top eyelid’s skin loses flexibility as we age, “drooping” downward (also called “hooding”) Thermage may be used to tighten the lower and upper eyelids’ skin without any downtime in milder situations and for people who are not interested in surgical treatment.

Agnes RF

Upper eyelid lifting using Agnes RF is a cutting-edge technique that tightens and lifts the skin surrounding the eyes using heat and radiofrequency. This FDA-approved non-surgical procedure is effective and safe for decreasing the formation of sagging, droopy eye wrinkles and eyelids, tightening skin, and dissolving subcutaneous fat deposits surrounding the eyes. It’s non-invasive and non-surgical.

RF micro-insulated needles are used in the procedure to puncture the skin with tiny holes using the AGNES RF device. The needles are as tiny as a mosquito’s bite, and it uses heat and radio frequency (RF) to tighten and lift loose eyelid skin while also stimulating collagen formation in the target locations. Additionally, the heat reduces and melts the subcutaneous fat deposits surrounding the eyes, which your body would then eliminate.
